Carpathia Club is a non-profit cultural organization representing German and Donauschwaben traditions and language. Donauschwaben are the pioneers that traveled from German regions, often down the Danube (Donau) River, to the far reaches of Austria-Hungary. The land offered opportunity and, after many generations of hard work, became a prosperous region. Like the pioneers in the American West, the Donauschwaben started new lives in a new land to give their families a better future.
